Hi Nick, I am currently in my last year doing a BA(hons) Fine Art degree at Plymouth College of Art. You probably don't remember me, but i spent most of my time on the macs in the Regent studio in first year on the level 0 course. My practise relates to layering photography consisting of using patterns and text. With seeing your works in galleries, I was wondering what print services/website you use to print your photographs and what sizes you roughly use. Pippa Dowie
Hey - thanks for the message. I recognise your name. apparently we are Facebook friends! Sure, for all of the exhibition prints I used a company called The Printspace. They’re based in London, but you can just upload your files to the website and they are able to turn them around in 48 hours! The quality is fantastic and they’ve got a whole range of different paper stocks. You can order a sample pack from them to get examples of the different printing methods and papers. I’ve been using the Giclee inkjet process on all of the Militarisation work, printed onto Hahnemuhle 308gsm Rag. Sizes are (in inches) 5x4, 10x8, 20x16 and 50x40.
Other print companies you might want to check out are Spectrum and Metro.
